The Paramus Fritz Behnke Historical Museum is located at 330 Paramus Road (just south of Bergen Community College). The museum contains over 2800 artifacts from the period dating 1900 to early 2000. These items are displayed in various settings on two floors of the building.
This volunteer position entails greeting and accompanying visitors on a tour of the museum. The docent may point out various unique artifacts and describe their use.
The museum is open every Sunday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm except holiday weekends.
Docents are scheduled on an approximate 3 week fixed schedule, however, allowance for conflicting schedules are arranged.
No previous knowledge is required. Materials will be provided to familiarize the docent with the museum . There will also be on-site training.
